[Everyone] Mailbox Issue

I went to the post office yesterday and they were less than helpful. They told me all they could do is replace a missing key, but if the issue was with the lock or the box itself I would have to call a locksmith and fix it on my own. Sounds like this might be bad information though.

Joanne - did you contact someone at the local branch or did you call the main USPS customer service line?

I’m expecting some important mail in the next few days, so need to get this solved ASAP. I want to make sure I exhaust all my options before calling a locksmith.
