[Everyone] Tree Removal- 7/15

Hi neighbors-

Arborguard will be here around 8 AM on Monday, 7/15-- weather
permitting--to remove the gingko tree to the right of my garage. It's a
beautiful tree, and I'm sad to see it go, but a certified arborist and the
City of Decatur agree that it's too close to my home and that the tree will
fail some time in the next couple of years. For the sake of my home and
protecting the rest of the community, it has to go.

Arborguard says the removal will be straightforward and should last just a
few hours. They did say that the driveway may need to be blocked at some
points, so I would suggest moving your car in advance to ensure you can get
in and out when you need to that morning. Lauren, I know you don't like it
when companies park machinery across from your garage, and I did ask if
they could put their wood chipper somewhere else, but they said there is
not another good option. I am so sorry for the inconvenience to you and to
everyone.

Thanks to all of you for your patience with this. I hope this advance
notice will mitigate some of the disruption. Please let me know if you have
additional questions or concerns.
