Thanks Rosamond. Please let us know what we owe so that we can contribute to the cost of this and also what we can do to support the removal of the rotted tree.

Thanks a lot for this report, rosamond, it is good news about those 3 oaks. I will be adding -- as one of the 5 owners potentially affected by those 3 oaks -- $80 to the HOA fee of $125 for November. I assume Bouttes fee for examining the 3 oaks is $400, as was indicated earlier. Again, many thanks for this report.
Best, Lauren

Greetings,
I am pleased to write to you with really good news on the three pin oaks (they are pin oaks, not water oaks, I learned) that border the main drive into Chelsea Place.
Boutte arrived today to perform a kind of testing in which a 24" long needle is inserted at four points around the circumference of the trunk to determine if there is any rot or disease that threatens the tree or makes it a risk to nearby buildings.
A full report should arrive shortly, together with the invoice, but they were able to tell me that their testing showed absolutely no sign of disease or rot in any of the trees. They are all "solid as a rock."
Maryann, as for the gingko, Jeremy from Boutte did not spray your tree today because he could see that the trunk was wet from the rain. He will come sometime this week to do that. I'll get a text from him and will keep you posted.
I should tell you that Jeremy eyeballed the tree belonging to the Melrose neighbors and underscored what John from Boutte said earlier. That tree is a priority. Now there are fungi sprouting from the base, which Jeremy said is one of the three "big signs" of rot. He emphasized the earlier that thing comes down, the better, suggesting we may need to cooperate with those neighbors perhaps by removing a panel of the fence so that it can be accessed.
As you know, we've been in touch with the neighbors, who said they were having it looked at. I will follow up with them and let you know.
Have a nice weekend.
Rosamond
