Good morning neighbor,
You've no doubt noticed a recent uptick in paint markings on the ground.
Those temporary marks indicate where Comcast, AT&T, gas, power, and
electric lines are located so that in our (Sara, me, Ringer) quest to
remove the rather sickly azaleas that line the drive we do not interrupt or
damage any services.
Our plan, which has several phases, is:
1. To transplant flag grass (that pretty grass groundcover) down at the
creek in front of 404-406. I'll be doing this tomorrow, and would WELCOME
any assistance. Wear boots and prepare to get dirty.
2. To remove the azaleas that line the front drive in front of Mitsy,
Lauren, Joanna and Dave and the Baggetts -- they are in a state of
decrepitude;
3. To and move some of/all of the shrubs that line the back driveway (the
dogleg and the drive in front of 400-408).
a. Some of these will be move to the front (Drexel face) to make a
more consistent look and to plug in gaps.
b. We'd like to replace the current shrubs against the back fence with
a consistent planting of "White by the Gate Camelias." Not only are these
really pretty, but they will afford privacy, as they grow to be 8'H x5'W.
4. To plant another Japanese maple to flesh out and make consistent the
current planting (behind the decrepit shrubs soon to be removed).
5. To purchase and put in some large rocks to lend a powerful design
element that completes the look.
6. To purchase and plant a weeping willow tree at the creek to afford
privacy and to replace a lost magnolia.
We are ready to begin phases 1 and 2. Let us know if you have
questions/concerns/objections or you want to express your extreme
enthusiasm and willingness to help.
Your friend and neighbor,
Rosamond
