Molly, I'm so sorry to learn of your dilemma.  I'm not aware that Janis ever had flooding issues.  You might want to have someone to take a look at your foundation on the left side of your garage to make certain that it is completely sealed.  I hope you are able to get the problem solved quickly.  This has to be one of the rainiest summers that I can recall.
