[Everyone] Arborist

So I now want to weigh in on this matter of getting an arborist to take a
look at the situation all round the CP property--including what may fall in
the category of the common property, individual CP owners, and neighboring
properties. It makes sense to have someone take a good
comprehensive professional look and make some recommendations. That would
be a first step. More than one arborist should be put on a list and more
than one contacted--in re: fees, etc. A recommendation should then be
brought forward to me (and other officers).
The matter of what trees or situation should be addressed by CP and what
should be the responsibility of different owners should then be clarified.
In this and all other matters before us as CP HOA decisions should be clear
and fair.
Now as for the process: let me be clear that I do not see it as my
responsibility to take care of every issue that is proposed or brought
forward; I am not a paid manager called to personally take care of all
issues as proposed or as they come up. We have not hired a company to
manage things here. I see it as my responsibility to facilitate and
coordinate and move along the work we collectively think should be done.
This means: all owners must step up and contribute to the effort to resolve
issues and problems we face.
So in my capacity as president, having agreed that the issue should be
addressed, I propose the following steps: a group of two or three owners
should pursue this matter and make a recommendation to me (and
other officers). Lauren first broached the matter in our meeting yesterday.
If she is inclined to serve on a committee to look into the matter I
welcome her on board. But she has recently contributed much to our cause by
serving on another committee. I suggest Kathleen and Mitsy serve on this
committee. And if anyone else wants to join them to help the cause I
welcome another volunteer.
