Ms. Rich,

We are sending someone from the Fire department to look at this tree.
Normally, the city will clear the tree from the street unless it is on
power lines. If power lines are involved, we will not touch the tree until
Georgia Power comes onto the scene. Georgia Power has yet to arrive in
Decatur today as they are responding to issues across the state. We do not
remove trees from private property.

I appreciate your patience as we have dozens of trees down around the city
and we are also waiting for Georgia Power at a number of these sites.

I am sorry about the issues with the phone. You may call my direct line at
678-553-6515.

Andrea

I live at 340 drexel avenue. A few years ago when a storm downed multiple
trees, it took 4 days for this block to get back power. I was told then by
Ga Power it took this long because City of Decatur was responsible for
removing fallen trees and it took D3catur 4 days to remove the downed
tree.

I called decatur general number a few mins ago and was told to call public
works 678 553 6521. I called and of course got vm. I just called your #
(andrea arnold) and of course it was busy. We AGAIN have downed tree at
drexel near ponce, since 456 a.m. this morning and no electricity. IF IT IS
DECATUR RESPONSIBILITY TO REMOVE DOWNED TREE, WHEN WILL THIS BE DONE? If it
is somebody else's responsibility, please tell me who.

I cannot wait 4 days to get electricity back. And Ga Power wont touch this
problem until tree is removed.

I look forward to your response.
