Dear Neighbors:

Hope all of you are safe and staying well.

I write out of concern about an incident I witnessed and responded to just
a few minutes ago: a mother and young child were exploring things at the
creek (just below little fence on Drexel). I went to our deck and shouted
to mother that what she was doing was not a good idea, dangerous...She did
not respond by voice, but did proceed to leave, lifting her child slowly,
carefully, a sign that she acknowledged how dangerous it was for her to be
there with her child. There are of course other issues that are relevant
here.

I write to communicate to all that we simply must do something about this
situation. Some of you will have noticed that Sara Crews and my spouse
Rosamond Rodman have been working hard this season (along with Mr. Jimmy
Ringer) to spruce things up around the property, especially the yard area
facing Drexel. In addition to cleaning up and planting items, we need to
resolve to do something about a wall or railing of some type across the
length of the property over the creek (from common driveway to northern
edge of yard on Drexel). I believe Sara has inquired in re: estimate for
work for some type of wall extension. Given the incident I just experienced
minutes ago, and given the ongoing need to protect and upgrade our shared
property, I should like to recommend strongly that we together support
proceeding in this direction of putting some sort of protective wall or
guard in place. Again, we need this to protect ourselves (from others being
hurt) and to upgrade and to enhance the beauty of our home investment.

One more note--perhaps, on account of the stressful times, with more people
walking along the Drexel, this is not the first time we have witnessed foot
traffic transgression onto the yard. We have witnessed others walking onto
the yard and dog owners allowing dogs to make deposits in the yard. We have
been here for a short time. But we cannot believe this situation has only
just begun. And we would find it hard to believe that others have not
witnessed some of what we have witnessed. So, for several reasons we think
collective action is needed.

Thanks for your consideration. I hope to hear from you about your thinking
about how we can together move forward.

Stay safe.
