I agree with your proposal Sara. Let’s go for the fence and wait for better bids for the other painting in the future.
Right now people who do renovation and painting are in tremendous demand and can charge very high fees. Perhaps we can let all of those who submitted bids know that the Chelsea homeowners appreciated the bid, but that it is too high. In the event they can do the work at a lower rate in the future, they can let us know.

Here is a final quote. I had hoped to get a couple more bids, but both of those contractors are backed up with work. Frankly, I feel all of the quotes are overpriced. Apparently, the demand is so great that they can just pull numbers out of the air. I really do not see that we have a group pricing advantage; so, my suggestion is for each of you to make your own decision. I personally will wait until painters are a little more hungry for work.
While I have requested each contractor to give us a price on the fence, the best I can recall, we only had two who provided us quotes. What is your vote on repairing and painting the fence?

Pressure was each unit, repaint /stain all trim, doors gutters with color to match existing.
This includes prep work, scraping, sanding, caulking as necessary.
1) Unit 338 - 4765.
2) Unit 340 - 4275.
3) Unit 342 - 4275.
4) Unit 344 - 4765.
5) Unit 400 - 4765.
6) Unit 402 - 4275.
7) Unit 404 - 4275.
8) Unit 406 - 4765.

12) Pressure wash and re stain fence (both sides) with same color stain to match = 2550.
Cut bottoms of fence panels over entire length to raise it above the existing
