Yes, they are two different things.  The email list is for communications
like this one.  The website is were meeting minutes will be posted, the
covenants and other legal documents, paint formulas, etc will be
collected.  There will be very little content that can we viewed without
being a member.  There are different types of membership as well, so the
next time one of the houses is being sold, the listing agent can sign up
for an account and have access to the covenants, for example.
