<div dir="ltr">If I'm not mistaken, we have what's known as a Cluster Box Unit, and despite us bricking it in, it is owned by the USPS. It would be much more cost effective to have the USPS replace the problem locks in question then tear down the bricks, replace the CBU and then build up the bricks again. It looks like replacement locks are about $20 each. Since it is a USPS owned CBU, technically, they should be the one to replace them. However, there is a fee for that. If you can get the box open, it should be a simple matter to replace the lock. I will take a look when I check the mail to see what type of lock is needed and the level of difficulty in replacing it.<div><br></div><div>Dave</div></div><br><div class="gmail_quote"><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_attr">On Tue, Aug 17, 2021 at 2:18 PM Vincent Wimbush via Everyone <<a href="mailto:everyone@chelseaplacedecatur.com">everyone@chelseaplacedecatur.com</a>> wrote:<br></div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0px 0px 0px 0.8ex;border-left:1px solid rgb(204,204,204);padding-left:1ex"><div dir="ltr">Given the reports of problems, it seems the mailboxes need to be replaced.
