For all these matters we need leadership that will help us focus on and take action on these matters. I think Dave Wiener is willing to communicate to us that he is not now and has not been for a period for a number of reasons able to lead us as we have the need. I have found the lack of action or initiative on his part to be frustrating. But, again, no unpaid/volunteer leadership should be expected to do for us all that need to be done. Unless we are willing to pay a company to manage the complex and pay for it, all of us must participate in shared management. We must ALL contribute in some ways. While Vincent's characterization is harsh, he is essentially correct. As I told him yesterday, since both of my parents have contracted COVID-19, the unexpected non-COVID related death in our family and being short handed at work which has necessitated longer hours for me, I find that I don't have the time or energy to dedicate to the needs of the HOA. I asked him if he would consider allowing me to step down and him step up as president.

I understand his hesitation at this time to assume the role of president. However, if I am to continue in the role, I am going to need some help. I have little time left in the day after work and dealing with my parents.

I agree with Vincent, as a self-managed HOA, we all need to be involved, and I am more than willing to continue to be involved. However, at this point in time, my bandwidth is extremely limited.
