We wanted to let you know that we are in the process of pulling out some of the older and dying azaleas that line the driveway leading from Drexel (just above the creek) and around the dogleg drive in front of 400-408. Many of these are quite old (30+ years), and need to be replaced. We will transplant the healthier azaleas already on site when possible. </div><div class="gmail_default"><br></div><div class="gmail_default">Sara has called 811 to mark the cables. They should be out very soon. </div><div class="gmail_default"><br></div><div class="gmail_default">Also, Sara has already made some purchases with the money approved for this purpose at the last meeting (camellias, in addition to the new trees recently planted). However, we will still need new shrubs. We anticipate spending another $500 on replacements, and are discussing a variety of options including natives like viburnum. <br></div><div class="gmail_default"><br></div><div class="gmail_default">On Saturday, I'll be around the creek dividing some of the daffodils and lenten roses in order to create new, fresher growth. I've transplanted a couple of abelia shrubs as well. </div><div class="gmail_default"><br></div><div class="gmail_default">For me, the most pressing issue is the look of the front face of the collective property. It needs freshening up. Dogs, people, kids, and trash collection has taken a toll. A discussion at the next meeting about landscaping and hardscaping will be needed.
